SkyCity since the late 90s, respect mate 😅 my old man used to drag me through there before I could even legally spin. These days I only get up when I'm visiting Auckland but that floor still does it for me. Cages pay out quick, pokies are tidy, and nothing beats walking out with actual cash in your pocket instead of waiting three days for a withdrawal 🔥
Hit big last night on a trip up earlier this year, cashed at the cage and straight out for dinner. Doesn't get better. Some of you lot whinge the floor's gone downhill, nah, it's still all-time favourite territory for me. The vibe on a Friday night is mental, bit like Eden Park before a test honestly 🤑 ah well, guess I'm just lucky there

That's reassuring to hear about the cage paying cash on the spot 😅 I've only been to SkyCity the once when I was up in Auckland visiting mates, mostly wandered the floor staring at the pokies like a total noob. AlmostHadItSurvivor, good on you for getting paid, but a single win years back proves nothing about how the floor treats people now. My rule's simple: no payout, no proof. Show me a few recent cage receipts from regulars and I'll lift an eyebrow.
That said, land-based is the only version of this hobby I half trust. You spin, you walk to the cage, cash in hand, done. No wagering nonsense, no "verification pending" for three weeks. If SkyCity stiffed someone at the cage there'd be DIA complaints on record pretty quick. So the venue itself I rate. The pokies? Still rigged against you the same as anywhere, mate, the licence changes nothing about the RTP you actually feel on the floor.

@Queenstown nah the buzz doesn't wear off if you're spinning your favourite pokie, trust me 😄 I've had sessions where the bonus round hits and I'm buzzing way past midnight, no way that gets old. Everyone's different tho, if daily feels like a grind to you then listen to that feeling aye.
For the first trip: parking at SkyCity is fine, the car park fills up on weekend nights so go early or plan around it. Set your limit before you sit down like Jandal_Mate said and you'll be sweet 🔥
