Went to SkyCity Auckland for the first time last month while visiting family, honestly wasn't sure what to expect. The place has been running since 1996 so I figured it'd feel dated, but the floor's pretty lively on a Friday night. Pokies everywhere, tables busy, and the cage cashed out my winnings without any drama.
Would I tell a mate to go? Yeah, if they're in Auckland anyway. The vibe's decent and everything's under the DIA licence so no worries there. Only gripe is it gets packed and hard to find a free machine sometimes 😅 Total noob here so maybe the regulars know better times to go?

Only been to Skycity once myself, took my licence in and the ID check was quick as well 👍 Spent maybe NZ$40 on the pokies and lasted a decent while, so maybe NearMissHater just copped a rough run? Keen to hear if anyone's tried the food upstairs there, is it any good? 🍟
