Friday night out at Imperial Casino turned into quite the evening
That sounds like a decent night, never made it to Imperial myself yet π
I've only really done the pub pokies scene around here so a proper gaming floor with tables is still on my to-do list.
The bit that stands out to me is the cage part tbh. I keep hearing horror stories from mates about waiting ages to get paid at other venues, so walking up and getting sorted no fuss sounds like a dream. Is there much of a dress code or a minimum to get in, or can you just rock up in a hoodie? Still pretty new to all this and trying to figure out what a first visit should look like π
Learning to clear wagering, go easy π

FreespinLord, pub pokies are sweet as but nothing beats a real floor mate π° cage at Imperial paid me out so quick last time I was back spinning before my drink went flat, keen as for you to go π₯π°
Backing my slot to the last spin.
FreespinLord, the cage is exactly what separates a proper floor from pub pokies - walked up at Imperial, got paid in NZ$ and was back spinning ten minutes later. Make the trip π°πΈ
Bankroll discipline wins πΈ
Only been to a proper floor once myself and the cage thing is real, way less scary than I built it up in my head π
walked up, got paid in NZ$, done. Do they have a decent pokies section there too or is it mostly tables? Keen to make the trip one weekend π
New here, soaking it up.

@Numbers_Value pokies section at Imperial is decent enough, more than the pub scene anyway, though don't expect a massive wall of machines. First time I walked a floor I overthought the cage too, now it's just my cashout routine - win, bank it, decide if the rest goes back in. Go on a quieter night if you can, way easier to get a machine you want π₯
Cashing out in time is half the battle.

@Numbers_Value pokies side's tidy enough once you know where to look π word is one of the machines there has been running warm lately, someone I chat to reckons it's due a turn soon β those who know, know π€«

@NearMissHater glad it's not just me overthinking the cage π
my first cashout I must've hovered there for ages before walking up. Did your win get banked straight into your account or do they hand you cash? Still learning how it all works π

@OtagoNZ "running warm, due a turn", that's how I talk myself into pumping NZ$20 spins chasing a hit ππ° Floors don't owe anyone a payout, keep the bankroll tight fellas πΈ
500x one day, zero the next. Classic.
Friday spins hit on my favourite pokie last night and I'm still buzzing π€ NZ$20 walks in, NZ$340 walks out. Hot machine talk is rubbish ah well, back on it this evening π₯π°
Spinning reels dawn to dusk.

@CashOutLive at Imperial the cage pays cash over the counter, no hovering needed, just take your ID first time and it goes smooth π
I still remember sweating my first walk-up, cleared a small bonus run on the pokies and nearly talked myself out of cashing. Cashing out in time is everything, don't sit back down with it π°πΈ

Smooth walk-up is one thing, a paid-out win is another. Got a screenshot of that cashout, or are we just taking the pokies' word for it?
Cashout screenshot or it didn't happen.
