Chch Casino: Is this Christchurch venue worth a visit?
Keen to hear more because I've only been the once and couldn't tell if the floor was dated or just classic π
I'm still learning bonuses so maybe I'm being dumb, but I figured a place running since 1994 earns some slack? Did the tables feel dead too, or just the pokies area?

Slack for age? Nah, 1994 was a long time ago and plenty of venues have refitted since. My take is the place runs fine, the DIA licence is solid and the cage pays out when you front up, but dated floor and all, just walk in with a budget and treat any win as a bonus. Tables were quieter than the pokies area when I went, if that helps.
Hype isn't a payout.
Paul_Win mentioned the cage pays out when you front up. Total noob here, is that just walking to the counter with your chips and cashing out? π

Yep mate, exactly that. The cage is the cashier counter by the floor, you hand over your chips or ticket and they pay you cash on the spot. At Chch Casino I've walked up there a few times over the years, last cashout went smooth enough, no fuss. Ah well, we grind on π
Busted more than you've deposited π
the paint might be old but did the games still play right, though? some of those older pokies were way better than whatever theyβve dumped in there lately, ah well, we grind on.
It's all hit and busted before, folks.
Honestly the old pokies paying better sounds about right to me, newer ones at the pub near me feel dead π
Might give the floor a go myself, thanks for the cage tip π
New here, soaking it up.
Is the vibe actually that old because it's been around since 1994? I might be being dumb, but I dunno if I'd go back π€·ββοΈ.
