Why are the pokies at Imperial Casino right by the entrance?
Went to Imperial a few weeks back and yeah, that row of pokies by the door got me too π
You walk in and it's all beeping and lights before you even spot a table. Maybe I'm being dumb but I reckon that's deliberate, feels like they want you spinning straight away.
The cage being right at the back confused me as well, had to do the whole walk of shame across the floor to cash out NZ$ and felt like everyone watched me do it π Do they move you past more machines on the way or is it just me? Still learning how these places are laid out honestly.

ha, that cage walk is the oldest trick going, bach. i did the same shuffle years back, told myself one spin with the winnings on the way, ended up back at zero. now i cash out the second i decide, no matter how far the walk. old-school grind beats their floor plan every time π
The cage-at-the-back thing worked on me once too, got halfway there and fed a twenty back into a pokie. Now I do what NapierMad says, decide at the machine and walk straight past the noise. The door row is deliberate for sure, every pub with pokies does the same, front window facing the street.
Hype isn't a payout.
Same experience at Imperial, that door row caught me too. What got me was how loud it is right at the entrance, you're past the machines before you've even worked out where the tables are. I had a decent hit on one of the high-denom pokies near the front, thought I'd cash it, and yeah the walk to the cage felt like crossing the whole floor. Passed at least three machines I fancied on the way and nearly fed one.
What saved me was deciding at the machine, like NapierMad says. Hit the collect button, stood up, straight to the back. Felt a bit silly walking the whole way with the ticket, but that's how you keep it in profit. Cage was quick once I got there though, no complaints on that side. π₯

Total noob here but honestly I like the door row π
sound pulls me in faster than any sign. The cage walk is sneaky though, glad I know before my next visit π

The noise right there is crazy. I always feel weird walking past the machines first before finding the proper tables π€
Asking dumb bonus questions, that's the job.
Seriously though, that noise means the action is ON IT every evening. This slot pays, HUGE win ngl! π₯π°π€
The hit is close, I can feel it.

@AllInEveryTime_Mode one hit doesn't make a slot a payer mate, that's exactly how the door row gets you π
I gave that entrance bank NZ$40 at 60c a spin once and it ate through the lot before I'd even found the tables. Loud machine near the door is there for a reason, sweet as if it lands but most nights it won't π°πΈ
Bonus taken, wagering cleared.
