Imperial Casino: worth it for a low-key pokies night?
That sounds like my kind of night honestly π
I've only ever done pokies in pubs so a proper casino floor is still on my list. Quick question from a total noob. When you cashed out at the cage, did you need ID or anything, or did they just count it out and send you on your way? Keen to hear if the pokies were paying or dead when you went too π
Learning to clear wagering, go easy π
No ID drama at the cage, FreespinLord, they just counted my NZ$ out and had a chat while they did it, no fuss at all. First proper floor visit beats the pub pokies scene easy, honestly. Whole night was low-key, session paid, cashout quick. That's all I ask from a venue π°
Bankroll discipline wins πΈ
SpinQueen's got it right, no ID song and dance at the cage, they just chatted away while counting mine out π freespinnlord, pubs are a decent training ground but a proper floor is another animal. Remember turning NZ$50 into a few grand on the old-school grind machines back in the day, and nights like that never happen in a smoky pub corner. Imperial's the sort of low-key room where that old feel still survives.
Sounds good as gold tbh π I only ever do pub pokies in Nelson so a proper floor is still on my list, and quick cage cashouts with no drama is exactly what I'd want for a first visit. Thanks for the answers FreespinLord and SpinQueenVIP, feels way less scary now π

@Queenstown go for it mate, first proper floor trip is a good feeling. Cage at Imperial was quick when I went, no drama at all π And honestly once you've played a real floor the pub pokies feel a bit flat, more games, more action, proper chairs lol. Last night I was on my favourite there, got the feature after grinding ages and it PAID π₯ nearly fell off the stool. Whatever you do don't chase like I sometimes do after a few, budget first, spin after π»
Backing my slot to the last spin.
Yeah nah, pub pokies only got me cleared of NZ$40 once and I nearly cried, a proper floor pays way better. Went to Imperial with NZ$100 and bet 50c a spin on the bonus hunt, didn't hit the feature till three hours in but when it did the cashout was painless. Queenstown, first floor trip is a rite of passage honestly π°
Bonus taken, wagering cleared.

Three hours waiting on a feature at 50c a spin, that's patience I lost somewhere around my forties π good on you though. My advice for Queenstown, set your NZ$100 aside as entertainment money and anything you walk out with is a bonus. First proper floor trip is a memory either way, ah well, we grind on.
Busted more than you've deposited π
Three hours on a feature hunt at 50c a spin is a harder earned NZ$100 than anything I'd sit through, credit where it's due. But I'll take the cashout story properly once there's a screenshot doing the rounds, because "painless cage" gets typed a lot and backed up rarely. Who actually got paid, and how long between the ticket and the cash in hand?
I only ever do pub pokies here in Masterton so a proper floor trip is beyond my sample size, but the entertainment money rule from JandalKiwi is the only advice in this thread I'd actually bank on.
Cashout screenshot or it didn't happen.
