Imperial Casino turned my Saturday into a proper night out
Good on you mate, a proper night out is half the win anyway. I remember turning NZ$50 into 5k once back on the old-school grind machines, and even then what stuck with me was the walk to the cage. Quick payout, friendly face, no fuss, that's how you know the night was real 😉
Never cashed out at a cage myself yet, only been in once. It really feels that different from the machines to the counter? Keen to try it next time 😄
Learning to clear wagering, go easy 🙏
Cage experience is underrated honestly. I've had nights where the pokies were dead but the payout at the counter was so smooth I still left smiling. Fast, no fuss, friendly face at the window, that's what makes me go back 💸

Paul's got it right, the cage hands you the cash and suddenly the night feels earned. My first cashout there was exactly that, quick counter, friendly face, no messing about, and yeah Queenstown go do it, hitting the cage is half the buzz of a floor night 🎰

Yeah the cage is the only part of the night I'd actually vouch for. You can say the pokies were paying all you like, believe it when you cash out, and a window that doesn't muck about counts. My last walk to the counter was smooth too, though I did watch a bloke ahead of me cop the "we'll need ID" treatment, so have your stuff handy.
Cashout screenshot or it didn't happen.
Queenstown do it mate, first cage cashout is a rite of passage 😄 Last time I was at Imperial the window had zero queue and the bloke running it was chatting away while counting, none of that clipboard and wait business you get elsewhere. Machine pays silent, sure, but walking to the counter with a ticket in your hand beats watching a balance sit there. Didn't hit big that night either, still walked out smiling because the whole exit was painless. Night's only as good as the last five minutes imo 🎰💸
Cashing out in time is half the battle.
@NearMissHater totally agree mate, the atmosphere makes all the difference. You gotta have that good vibe for the slots to go mental 🔥💰🎰.
Spinning reels dawn to dusk.
Agree with Win24 on this one, the cage is the only bit I'd put my name to as well. Had a Saturday at Imperial a while back where the pokies were dead for most of the night, fed plenty through and got nothing worth mentioning. Still walked out reasonably cheerful because the counter took two minutes and the staff actually talk to you while they're doing it. Small thing, makes a difference.
Caveat though, and I say this every time: one smooth night means nothing about the machines themselves. Long-run they're still minus, that's how the floor stays open. Got a cashout screenshot? Nah, no cameras at the cage, which is half the charm. Enjoy the nights out, just don't confuse a good evening with the venue paying.
RTP doesn't lie, win screenshots do.
Funny how the cage can rescue a night. Had a Saturday at Imperial where the pokies were chewing through my NZ$ harder than I liked, walked to the window half expecting the usual sigh and rubber stamp, got a quick count and a bit of banter instead. Cashed out, tipped my hat, and the trip home felt way better than the last hour on the floor deserved 😅
Bonus taken, wagering cleared.

@JoshLuck1984 that banter at the cage is half the reason I keep going back to Imperial tbh 😅 pokies went cold on me last Saturday too but the cashiers had me laughing, then boom hit a sweet run on my all-time favourite late in the night and walked out smiling 🤑💰🎰
One slot, one love 🎰
The cage does more for a venue's reputation than any row of pokies ever will, funny enough. My Saturday nights at Imperial have mostly been the grind, floor buzzing, me feeding the machines and remembering how the old slots hit different. But walking out happier than you walked in, that's the real measure, and it sounds like they nailed it.
Last visit the missus came along just for the atmosphere, I got dusted on the pokies, and still the trip felt worth the petrol from Hamilton. Quick window, friendly face, no clipboard drama. A punter remembers how the night ends more than how it went. Ah well, we grind on 😉
Busted more than you've deposited 😉
Cage banter does buy a lot of goodwill, I'll give you that. My last Saturday at Imperial the pokies were freezing me out early, trimmed my bets right back instead of chasing and just enjoyed the noise. Didn't hit big but walked out with most of the NZ$ still in my pocket, which honestly counts as a win some nights 🎰
