Heads up before you visit Imperial Casino
Only been to a couple of land venues but roped-off tables on a Saturday sounds rough π¬ Was keen to do a trip there sometime, is it worth going just for the pokies or would I be wasting a drive? Asking as a total noob, cheers π

Honestly I loved it there π₯° quieter floor means the pokies near the entrance free up fast, I hit a decent session on a Saturday arvo. Worth the drive for the pokies alone π₯π°
The hit is close, I can feel it.
Went on a Friday a while back and same vibe, machines dark near the door, couple of table pits dead. Pokies-wise I'd say go in with a small session bankroll and see if it's paying, otherwise the drive stings π If the floor's that quiet the cage wait at least is short. π°
Cashing out in time is half the battle.
Chris, you hit a decent session? Got a cashout screenshot from the cage, or just the vibe of a Saturday arvo? Luck happens, sure, but long-run a half-dead floor is still minus for me.
RTP doesn't lie, win screenshots do.
Ooh quiet floor is actually a plus for me π I hate waiting for a machine to free up, and half the entrance pokies being switched off means the ones running get my spins faster lol. Bit sad seeing tables roped off though, feels a bit dead walking in π
Might do a small arvo trip and see how it goes, thanks NearMissHater for the cage tip π

Haha Queenstown talking like dead machines = faster spins, love that logic π Nick mate, my last Saturday there the entrance pokies were half dark but the ones running were hitting for me, walked out smiling π€ sure the floor's sleepy but I'll take a free machine over queueing any day ππ°
Backing my slot to the last spin.

@OneMoreSpin_Nation2012 walked out smiling, classic π€‘ did you actually take anything off the floor or did the smile die at the cage like it does for most punters? Half-dark pokies hitting your way one Saturday means nothing mate, a win on paper, right. Go back next weekend and tell us how that goes π
The house always wins.

@ModelLab mate the smile dies at every cage in the country, that's just how it goes π€ͺ doesn't mean the session was rubbish. My all-time favourite machine's over there and one night I hit big last night style, walked out a couple hundred NZ$ up. Call it what ya want. Ah well, haters gonna hate π€π°
Spinning reels dawn to dusk.
Wait, so a punter can't have one good night without proof now? π
I'm total noob here, only been to the cage twice, but isn't that half the fun of pokies?
This thread's making me keen to check it out actually π
half-dead floor but no queues sounds like my kind of Saturday. Is the cage quick to cash out there?
Half-dark machines hitting? yeah nah, I've had the same thing happen. Empty floor, dead machines next to you, and the one you're on just pumps. Used to think it was coincidence, now I half believe the theory π
Cage question from the newbie: from my last couple of visits the cashout was decent, small wait but nothing painful. I set my bet per spin at NZ$1.20 flat there and walked out maybe NZ$180 up once, other time gave most of it back. That's pokies for ya π°
500x one day, zero the next. Classic.
Keen to see someone finally post a cage receipt from that place, because "decent cashout" from memory proves nothing. Half a couple hundred NZ$ up once and suddenly the venue gets a good name, classic. Any land-based joint runs the same RTP rules, so the machines are what they are, the interesting part is whether they actually pay without a fuss.
Hype isn't a payout.
@Paul_Win mate I've cashed a few hundred NZ$ there no drama, cage counted it out quick. Not every place needs a receipt to be decent, go spin one night yourself π₯π°

@Lee_Tramping same thing happened to me on my only visit there, dead floor and my machine kept paying small hits π€ Probably just luck but weird how it lines up. Cage was fine for me btw, cashed out a couple hundred NZ$ no drama, though I'm such a total noob I half expected them to quiz me π
Cage counted my couple hundred NZ$ out quick as anything too, no quiz no drama π
Some of you blokes just salty cos this slot pays π₯
