Finally visited Imperial Casino last weekend, here's how it went
Sounds like a good arvo out π
I've only ever played the pokies at the pub so a proper casino floor feels a bit intimidating to me. Good to hear the cage cashout was quick β is there much of a queue later at night?
New here, soaking it up.
the pub pokies are just the baby brother of a proper floor, don't let it scare ya, walked my niece through one in Hamilton on her first visit and she took to it quicker than I did back in the day π. as for the cage queue, from what I saw on the Saturday it moves quick, they've got enough staff on that you're not standing there long even when the floor's humming. worst case you nurse a drink and watch the tables while you wait. ah well, we grind on.
Busted more than you've deposited π
This thread makes me want to check it out π
quick q, at the cage, do they pay cash on the spot or is it more like a wait? Still learning how land-based cashouts work π

Cash on the spot, mate, you walk up, they count it out over the counter and hand it to you right there. Only wait you'll see is if there's a couple of punters ahead of you at peak time, and even then it's minutes. I've cashed out at cages from here to Dunedin and never once had to come back for it π
Interesting how everyone's cage stories are flawless. Mine usually are too, and then I remind myself my spin sample is tiny, a handful of cashouts proves very little statistically. One Saturday arvo with a quick queue tells you the venue was staffed right that day, whether it holds at midnight on a Friday is another question entirely. π
What I'd actually watch, if you're comparing venues: the floor mix matters more than the cage speed. A heavy table tilt with a thin pokies bank means the machines get crowded and your session variance gets worse purely because you're forced onto whatever's free. Pub pokies versus a proper floor, same maths underneath, but the denomination spread and hit rate profile can be chalk and cheese. Worth checking the machine bank before you settle in for the night.
RTP is a long-run number.
@RobReels mate, stats are fine on paper but I know what my last night felt like, cashed out and walked out grinning π
Payout slips won't change that. Keen for Imperial anyway, queue length says more to me than any sample size ah well π₯π°
Honestly this thread sorted out my biggest worry - I was nervous about looking like a total noob at a proper cage π keen to give it a go myself soon π
Learning to clear wagering, go easy π

@FreespinLord mate you'll be sweet, first time I fronted a cage my hands were shaking like a lamb in a storm π
handed over the ticket, she counted it out, done in a minute. Nobody there cares how new you are, half the punters are just there for a good time. Go have a crack π°π°
One slot, one love π°
