My habit before putting a single NZ$ through any site is to find the regulator name, then go to that regulator's own register and check the licence is live and matches the entity. If I can't verify it in five minutes, I walk.
One thing I'd love the thread to nail down: what counts as a regulator worth trusting versus a stamp that's basically bought? Some jurisdictions issue licences with real dispute processes and published complaint records; others barely answer email. Has anyone here actually run a complaint through one and seen how it played out? Yeah mate, dead simple: every legit regulator has a website with a search bar for licence numbers. You find the licence name + number in the casino's footer, whack it into the regulator's own site, and if it shows up active, good as gold. If nothing comes up or it's expired, walk away 🔥 did this once before a session and the venue wasn't even listed, saved me my NZ$100 deposit ah well 🤑🎰
