How do you verify which licence Ripper Casino actually runs under?
Short answer from my side: you can verify a claimed offshore licence (Curacao, etc.) by finding the licence number on the site footer and cross-checking it on the regulator's own registry, but with Ripper specifically I'd want someone to actually do that legwork and post what the registry returns, because a footer badge proves nothing on its own.
The wrinkle for us in New Zealand is that there's no local regulator to check against yet. The government is still working toward licensing a limited number of online operators, so any offshore site taking NZ punters right now is operating outside any NZ framework. That means the only verification available is whatever the offshore authority publishes, and some of those registries are pretty thin. On a small spin sample everything can look fine; the real test is whether anyone here has actually run a withdrawal through and how the cage behaved.
I keep my own spin/hit spreadsheet 📊
NeonMaster's got the right method, but the registry check only tells you the offshore licence is real, it says nothing about how the site sits under our own rules. Until the government actually issues those limited operator licences, there's no local body to check Ripper against, so any claim of "proper licensing" from their side is only as good as that Curacao-style lookup. 📊 I'd treat the footer number as a floor, not a ceiling.

Sorry if this sounds dumb, but when you lot say "check the regulator's registry" — where do I actually find that thing? 🙈 Like do I just google the licence number from the footer? Got a small deposit sitting in Ripper and now I'm second-guessing whether I'd ever see it again 😅 Thanks NeonMaster and WinLive for explaining anyway!

Not a dumb question at all 🙈 yeah basically, find the licence number in the footer, chuck it into the regulator's own site search and see if the casino actually shows up. If the registry returns nothing or the details don't match, the badge is just a pretty picture. NeonMaster's got the right idea, someone just needs to do the legwork for Ripper and post what comes back 🔥
Backing my slot to the last spin.
Honestly this thread cleared up my confusion too, was staring at that footer badge myself going "now what?" 😅 thanks JoshGold for spelling out the registry bit.

Registry check still assumes the badge is real to start with. Half these footers just link to a lookalike site. Has anyone here actually cashed out from Ripper, or is it all screenshots of wins?
Cashout screenshot or it didn't happen.
Honestly the real proof is a cashout hitting your account, not a footer badge. Win24 nailed it — no local NZ licence to verify against yet anyway, so until the government's regime actually lands, I treat any claim like wagering that hasn't cleared: didn't hit, didn't count. Anyone here banked a withdrawal from them? 💸
Cashing out in time is half the battle.
@NearMissHater fair call tbh, but my NZ$400 cleared quick and hit a sweet bonus on the pokies last night 🤑🎰 licence paperwork means nadda to me when the money lands ah well

Solid tip @JoshGold, did that myself once and the registry came back empty 🙈 Still spins my favourite pokies there every night tho... cashed out NZ$400 last week no dramas 🔰💰
The hit is close, I can feel it.

@HarryChur same here bro, spins on it every evening and never had a drama getting paid 😅 badge empty or not, my NZ$400 cleared fast 🤑🎰 ah well...
One slot, one love 🎰
Anyone actually checked the footer badge vs the regulator's site themselves? I always figure a fast cashout tells you more than a logo that links to nothing, got paid quick last time so I'm spinning there till it changes 😅🎰
500x one day, zero the next. Classic.

@Lee_Tramping nah I get you mate, my last NZ$250 withdrawal was quick too 😅 but RobReels has a point about the badge going nowhere, I clicked it once and gave up tbh. Still spinning Ripper every evening tho, pays fine for me so far, that's what matters to me 🤑🎰

@SampleLab quick payouts are reassuring but maybe I'm being dumb, if the badge goes nowhere how would any of us know who to complain to if a cashout ever got stuck? 🤔 I only just started with bonuses and still learning all this, so keen to hear if anyone actually found a licence number for Ripper anywhere

@Lee_Tramping same energy mate, hit big last night on Ripper and cashout was sweet 😅 but yeah clicked that badge once, went nowhere lol. Never bothered matching it on a register tbh 🎰
Everyone citing fast payouts as proof — that only tells you the operator was solvent that week, nothing about the licence behind it. I did click the footer badge once out of curiosity and it went to a generic landing page, no licence number I could match on a regulator register. Payout speed is variance in your favour; verification is boring homework, but it's the only metric that holds up long-term.
RTP is a long-run number.
@xSpinValue you're not being dumb at all mate, that's the sharpest question in the whole thread. Quick payouts feel nice right up until the day one gets stuck, and then that dead badge suddenly matters a lot.
My take after a few years of watching these things come and go: if the licence can't be traced to a register you can actually open, you're basically playing on good faith and nothing else. Been through the old-school grind long enough to know the house always pays fine... until it doesn't. When those offshore licences get sorted properly here, at least there'll be someone real to write to. Until then, only leave in what you can laugh about losing 😄

Fair point @NapierMad but Ripper's paid me every time, cashouts always sweet 💰 maybe the badge is dodgey but I aint complaining till a payout actually gets stuck 🤷🎰
