Spent a Saturday arvo at Glorion Casino
Mate I was at Glorion last weekend too and honestly the floor was humming π pokies everywhere and the place just felt lucky, hard to explain. Spun a few on the Saturday arvo crowd, decent vibe, not too packed that you can't get a machine π₯
Cage cashout was quick when I pulled out a small win, no drama at all. Keen to hear what you reckon about the tables tho, I'm mostly a pokies punter π°π°
Backing my slot to the last spin.
Felt lucky, Josh? That's exactly the sort of talk that empties a bankroll π
Went a couple of Saturdays back myself, floor was busy but you could still find a machine, and the pokies were mostly running cold for me. Gave a bonus buy a go on one of the newer cabinets and it hit for sweet nothing, then bled the rest of the session in small bites. Cage cashout was smooth though, no mucking about when I went to grab what was left. Honestly for me it's a decent venue, just keep your bet per spin honest and walk when the session says so. Anyone else find the tables crowded on a Saturday or was that just my timing? π°
Cashing out in time is half the battle.

Cold runs happen to everyone π
my first few spins there were dead too. Curious how the cage cashout is though, Josh said quick, keen to hear if that's the usual?
Learning to clear wagering, go easy π
@FreespinLord word is the cage there still pays quick, my contact reckons under ten mins most Saturdays if you go before the evening rush πJosh isn't talking out of his school tie anyway.
Cold start on the pokies means nothing mate, some machines just take their sweet time warming up... ones near the bar tend to go quiet then all of a sudden they're hot, you know the rest π€« keep your per-spin low like the survivor bloke said and you'll be sweet.
Nick mate, grinding is the whole point of the floor π
my Saturday there I kept the bet per spin low and walked before the bankroll dipped, cage was tidy when I cashed the small hit π°
Bonus taken, wagering cleared.
LOL Nick asking for screenshots like the cage hands out receipts for vibes π
my two bits, floor there treats you right, pokies were paying tidy for me one arvo and I hit big last night... nah kidding, that was a while back, but Glorion's still my all-time favourite for a Saturday sesh. Anyone else find the machines near the bar looser or am I imagining it? Ah well π₯π°π€
Spinning reels dawn to dusk.
The "machines warming up" line is pure gambler's fallacy, every spin is independent and the hit rate baked into the game doesn't change with an arvo shift. Nick's right about the sample though, one Saturday proves nothing either way; your spin sample is tiny against a million-iteration paytable. That said, walking while you're ahead is the only variance control that actually works, so credit there π
RTP is a long-run number.

@RobReels finally someone on this thread who's done the reading π "machines warming up" is my favourite excuse though, right up there with "the dealer was due a good one". Spin's spin, the paytable doesn't know what time it is.
That said, none of it matters when the house edge is just quietly collecting on every single one of these sessions while we debate sample sizes. Did anyone here actually withdraw anything beyond beer money from Glorion or is this whole thread just vibes and cage small talk? π€‘πΈ
A paper win won't feed you.
Rob's spot on, every spin stands on its own π° I usually work out my bet per spin before I sit down, if a NZ$1 spin hasn't hit after a set number, I walk. No warm-up nonsense.
500x one day, zero the next. Classic.

@RobReels correct on the fallacy, but I'd add the real question with a land venue is whether the floor runs the full-RTP config or the gimped one - that you can't see from a Saturday sample either. Nice theory about independence until someone shows a cashout slip from the cage. Who actually got paid there, that's what I want to know.
Cashout screenshot or it didn't happen.

@Win24 hard to argue with a cashout slip π I usually work it out at bet NZ$2 a spin and judge the config by how quick my bankroll dies. If it's gone in twenty minutes, that tells me plenty.
Bankroll discipline wins πΈ
Win24 raises a fair point about floor configs, though proving it from a punter's side is near impossible. Short of asking the venue straight out, all you can do is track your own sessions and see.
I keep my own spin/hit spreadsheet π

@NeonMaster tracking sessions sounds sensible but honestly my heart already told me Glorion's sweet π
Saturday arvo there hit me for NZ$260 on the pokies and I nearly fell off me chair π€ who needs proof when the machine's singing like that... gonna keep going every weekend π₯π°
The hit is close, I can feel it.
Defending Glorion here, my pokies have been kind on the Saturdays I've gone π₯π° No cashout slip yet but my last hit paid for the whole arvo, so I'll keep spinning it π±π°

@Nick_Napier same here mate, Glorion's my all-time favourite arvo trip, the floor's been decent to me too π€π₯ Last Saturday I walked out up NZ$340 on the pokies and honestly it's the only venue where my bankroll doesn't die in twenty minutes like Queenstown15 said π±π° this slot pays, keep spinning!

@Nick_Napier same vibe here mate, my arvo hits mostly come on my all-time favourite on that floor π€ cashout slip or not, the fun's been real π₯π°

Never been to Glorion yet, is it worth the trip up? Everyone here seems to walk out up NZ$260-340 every Saturday which honestly sounds too good π
I only just started playing pokies at my local so I'm total noob with land casino stuff. Any tips for a first visit there? π°

@OneMoreSpin_Nation2012 cashout slip or not, that's the spirit I remember from the old floors π turned 50 into 5k once on a now-forgotten reel machine and still think about it twenty years later. Curious which one's your favourite there, is it one of the newer screens or have they got any of the old three-reelers tucked away still? ah well, we grind on.
Busted more than you've deposited π
