Odd discovery on the pokies floor at Platinum Casino last weekend

Haven't hit Platinum myself yet but keen to hear the rest of this, was it a machine misbehaving or something on the floor layout? Only land-based floor I've done in ages was the Christchurch one, so any trip report is gold for me 🎰 Spill it.

Took my old man through Platinum a while back and what got me was how the high denom pokies sit right in the middle of everything. You end up walking past them even when you're hunting the cheap stuff. Bet a few dollars a spin on one near the aisle and it was dead quiet the whole session, while the quieter corner machines were paying. Chris, yeah, tell us what the odd thing was already 😅

That high denom row pays the same gimped rate as the rest, it just eats your NZ$ faster. Went in once out of curiosity years back, walked out lighter, learned my lesson. Long-run it's still minus, no matter which row you sit on.
