The footer check is exactly the right instinct. I treat a licence claim like any unaudited figure until I can trace it, if the regulator and licence number aren't visible down the bottom, I go to that regulator's own register and search the number myself. If it doesn't return the operator's trading name, that's a hard pass from me, no matter how the site dresses it up. What I never rely on is the site telling me it's "fully licensed and regulated" in a banner, because that phrasing costs nothing to print. Given the local situation, offshore casinos aren't licensed here, and the upcoming regime will only cover a limited number of operators, I'd want to know exactly which jurisdiction any licence does come from before putting NZ$ into it. Anybody here actually found Boo's licence number and matched it to a public register? Curious what the footer shows.
RTP is a long-run number.

That register tip is handy RobReels, cheers 🙏 total noob question from me though, if the footer licence number does check out on the regulator's site, is there anything else worth eyeballing before I put NZ$ in? I only made my first deposit recently and the whole "trust the footer" thing still feels a bit weird 😅

Register check tells you the paper exists, not that they'll actually pay you. I want to see who got paid. Real cashout screenshots from NZ punters, dated, with the method visible. A licence number in the footer is step one; a verified withdrawal is the only proof that matters to me. No payout, no proof.

This might be a dumb question but how do I actually find the regulator's register? Like do I just google the regulator name from the footer? 😅 Thanks heaps

Yeah pretty much mate, google the regulator name and their official site will have a "licensee search" or register page where you punch in the number from the footer 🎰 If it pops up with matching details, that's the real deal. I do the same check on my favourite site every time before I top up, takes two mins and saves the heartbreak, ah well better safe than spinning dead 👍🔥

That screenshot point from SamJandal hits home for me 😅 I only just made my first deposit recently and I checked the footer thing after reading RobReels' post, regulator and licence number were there, felt pretty stoked, but then I realised I have zero idea if anyone from NZ has actually been paid out by them. Paper licence vs real cashouts are two different things I guess 🙈 My little caveat: screenshots can be faked too right? So now I'm eyeballing whether the same usernames pop up posting over months, not just one lucky cashout pic. Also reading the wagering terms before depositing taught me the hard way that a bonus can look juicy and then be near impossible to clear 😂 cheers everyone, this thread is helping a total noob heaps 🙏

Queenstown, same boat here, footer check passed but never cashed out myself, so I treat my first withdrawal there as the real test. Figured I'd keep the deposit small, clear the wagering at a low bet per spin and see if the payout actually lands before I trust it with anything bigger 💸 until then it's just a nice-looking licence number to me.

@AlmostHadItSurvivor smart move keeping it small, that's exactly how I'd test a place I've never cashed out from. One thing to add: check their withdrawal methods before you deposit, some sites process to NZ bank accounts painfully slow or quietly push you to cards with extra fees. Also watch the wagering contribution table, some games count zero towards it. Report back when that payout lands, screenshots or it didn't happen.
Cashout screenshot or it didn't happen.

Yeah same plan here 😅 small deposit, small spins, first payout is the real test. Still learning bonuses myself, will let you know how my wagering goes! 🙏

Funny how the footer pass gives everyone a false sense of safety, eh. My sheet habit applies here too: verification is two columns, and people only ever fill in the first. Column one is the licence itself, regulator site, register search, details matching the footer. Column two is the payout column, and like AlmostHadItSurvivor says, that one stays blank until the first withdrawal clears. A licence number tells you who approved the site's paperwork; a paid-out NZ$50 tells you whether the cashier actually works for a punter in this part of the world. So my verdict for the newbies here: do both, in that order, small deposit, low bet per spin through the wagering, and treat the first payout as the only data point that counts. Once your withdrawal lands, you've got a verified row in the sheet. And until then, everyone else's stories are just anecdotes. Keep us posted, CashOutLive, keen to hear how the wagering treats you 📊
I keep my own spin/hit spreadsheet 📊

@WinLive yeah fair point but honestly the licence column is the only one I ever bothered with and Boo's never done me dirty 🤷 Hit big there on my all-time favourite pokie a while back, cashout was smooth as, so I stopped overthinking it. Maybe I'm lucky eh, ah well 💰🎰

@Auckland_Legend first smooth cashout is the only licence worth trusting eh. seen bigger hits than that turn sour elsewhere though, so i still check who's actually holding the keys 😉

@NapierMad fair call, knowing who holds the keys beats blind trust. My trick: I do the licence check AND a NZ$20 test deposit before anything serious. Cleared wagering on 20c a spin once, cashed out quick and it landed - that combo tells you more than any licence badge hanging in the footer 😭💸

@NapierMad keys matter for sure, but word is Boo's paperwork checks out if you poke around the footer link yourself - don't just trust the badge 😏 Did the NZ$20 test run there once, cashout came through no drama. Which slot's worth a spin though... well, those who know, know 🤫

@NapierMad yeah checking keys is fair, but Boo's always action here for me, been on it every evening and cashouts never stuck 😍 this slot pays too, scored NZ$340 last week 💸
Backing my slot to the last spin.

@BachLoyal "pokies don't lie" is a new one. One smooth NZ$20 cashout proves they pay small withdrawals, nothing more. Got a cashout screenshot of anything decent? I'll concede you got lucky, but long-run the RTP is still set against you, mate.

@Nick_Win spot on. A NZ$20 cashout is the house doing PR, not proof of anything. I want to see a four-figure withdrawal screenshot with the transaction ID visible, and even then it only tells you about that week. On the licence question in the thread title: scroll to the footer, find the regulator named, then go to that regulator's own site and search the operator, not the brand. If the licence number doesn't match or the footer link bounces you to a sales page instead of a registry, that's your answer. I check the blacklist threads here first as well, cheaper than finding out the hard way.

@BachLoyal smooth cashout is a good sign but it's only half the story, I still check the licence at the bottom of the page before depositing anywhere. Cleared a bonus there last month and bankroll discipline got me out before the swing turned. Those pokies "don't lie" until variance eats your session, trust me 😭🎰

@FreespinLuck same here, first cashout is the real licence check for me too 💸 Cleared a NZ$20 bonus once on low spins, withdrew quick before temptation could touch the bankroll 🎰
Cashing out in time is half the battle.

Haha Nick asking for screenshots like the site's gonna hand those out. Word is a fella I know through the club has had a decent run there lately, but that's all I'll say 🤫 Check the footer licence yourself and trust your gut, everyone else's proof means nothing when it's your NZ$ going in.

Honestly the footer licence check takes 30 seconds and saved me worry before my first deposit there. Cashouts been smooth every time for me, and the hits on my favourite slot keep coming... this slot pays 🔥💰 SpinPaul's four-figure screenshot thing is a bit much tho, who posts transaction IDs 😅
