Finally made the trip to Royalvegas Casino last weekend
Never made it down to the floor myself yet, sounds like a decent Saturday night out mate π
That five minute KYC at sign-up gives me hope - the online one took me ages when I did my first deposit. Quick question though, does the loyalty card come with anything useful, like free spins or food discounts, or is it just points? π€
Learning to clear wagering, go easy π
Five minutes for KYC sounds suspiciously smooth, but I'll believe the cashout part when more than one person confirms it, no payout, no proof. Did you actually walk out with cash from the cage, and have you got a photo of the slip? A fast counter on a packed Saturday means nothing if the pokies were tuned tight that night.
Cashout screenshot or it didn't happen.
Funny how fast cage service becomes the headline until someone counts their notes properly. Win24's onto something though, walking out with a wad means nothing if half of us can't replicate it. OP, what machine was treating you kindly, because land-based pokies here can chew through $100 faster than my coffee budget? Quick tip anyone considering the drive: keep slips till you've physically left the building, especially weekends when the queue backs up.
RTP doesn't lie, win screenshots do.
Total noob here π
what's the slip thing Win24 mentioned? Do they print you a receipt at the cage when you cash out or is that only for card stuff? π€
Yeah nah it's simple mate, the slip is just the receipt the cage prints when you cash out chips/notes, it's your proof of the transaction in case anything gets disputed later π§Ύ Same deal if you win big on the pokies floor and get a handpay ticket. I walked out with NZ$ cash from Royalvegas last Saturday and got a printed slip, took two seconds, no dramas π₯π°
Backing my slot to the last spin.
Agree with JoshGold's explanation there, the slip matters more than people realise. I always keep mine taped into a little notebook where I log my sessions, because on a small spin sample your memory of what you cashed out is genuinely unreliable. That said, cage speed is one thing and long-run payout behaviour is another, so I'd echo the skepticism until a few more locals confirm repeat visits went the same way.
I keep my own spin/hit spreadsheet π
Took my nephew through a couple of months back. Cage was quick for me too, but keep the slip, I always count my notes at the counter before walking off. No payout screenshot needed in person, which is a nice change.
Licence first, deposit after.
Good to hear the cage was sorted quick, that five minute KYC sounds sweet as π Counting notes at the counter like SamJandal said is solid advice, I'll remember that for my first visit!

Cute, everyone's got a counter ritual but nobody's posting a single withdrawal receipt π five minute KYC means nothing if the pokies chew your bankroll first. Did you even withdraw yet, mate?
A paper win won't feed you.

@Queenstown counting notes at the counter is non-negotiable bro, saved me a NZ$50 shortfall once. Keep the slip too, my notebook habit from NeonMaster hasn't let me down πΈ
Bankroll discipline wins πΈ
Counting notes at the counter before you walk off is the only way, learned that the hard way when a cage miss cost me NZ$80 a while back π I treat every venue trip like clearing a wagering requirement now β set the session bankroll, keep the bet per spin flat, and whatever's left gets cashed same day. Royalvegas cage being quick is a decent sign, keen to hear how the pokies treated you all π₯
Bonus taken, wagering cleared.
@AlmostHadItSurvivor flat bet per spin is the way, stopped me chasing after one dodgy session π₯ roller bonus mate, cashed out sweet as last trip, receipts or nah ππ°
One slot, one love π°

@RotoruaNZ sweet as mate, good to hear someone actually cashed π flat bet's saved my arse too, stopped me tipping the whole night's bankroll into one dodgy streak. Took a decent hit off the pokies last weekend myself, huge win nglβ¦ rolled most of it back like an idiot but still walked out up π€π°
The hit is close, I can feel it.

@HarryChur rolling a hit back is the classic killer π discipline rule for me: anything decent off the pokies gets locked in the pocket, spins only on the base bankroll. Bankroll discipline wins, every time π°
Cashing out in time is half the battle.
Rolled a big hit back once myself, never again - now anything over a hundred NZ$ goes straight in the wallet before the next spin πΈ Cleared a deposit bonus there a while back and cashed same night, KYC took longer than the queue at the bar. HarryChur, locking the win next time, trust me π

Rolled most of it back like an idiot π classic Harry. Question though. Did you even withdraw, or is that win just on paper? The house always wins, mate π€‘πΈ
@ModelLab house always wins until you pocket it π
I'm still learning this the hard way, only NZ$ deposits so far and zero cashouts. How do you all actually pull the trigger at the cage?
The pocket rule is the only one I've never regretted. I do a version of it too: any hit above my session stake gets banked, and I'll only spin the original NZ$ buy-in after that. Volatility will happily give back a win the RTP never promised you, so treat the locked portion as gone. HarryChur, next trip try banking half the hit and playing the other half - you still get the fun without the full roll-back.
I keep my own spin/hit spreadsheet π

@NearMissHater pocket rule's the only thing that ever saved me at the cage, dead set. Did a similar thing with the pokies over at SkyCity once - locked NZ$150 in the wallet, spun the base bankroll till it died, walked out smiling. Harry mate, your mates all said it already: that win on paper means nothing till it's behind the counter.
Word is there's a machine up the back of the floor there that's been coughing up decent all month, you know the rest ππ€«

@LuckyStreak_Spin exactly this, pocket rule changed my whole game too π₯ hit a decent one on my all-time favourite last month, locked it in my wallet before I could talk myself into "one more spin"... best decision ngl, walked out with actual cash instead of receipts π
Honestly spinning the base bankroll till it dies feels way better when the win's already safe. Harry, listen to this bloke!! π°π°

@Chris_Vegas mate, cashout the second you're up and it's done, no thinking allowed π
hit a big one on my favourite last week, walked straight to the cage before the brain could talk me into one more spin π€π°
One slot, one love π°
@SampleLab exactly this mate, the cage is the only thing that beats the floor π
locked a win in my wallet at the cage once and walked out good as gold while the machine sat there hungry for it back π€π° Chris, just treat the cashout button like the last spin β hit it quick and don't let the brain get a word in π₯

@SampleLab walking to the cage before the brain renegotiates is genuinely the right move, I'll co-sign that. I keep a session sheet and the pattern never changes, the cashout you delayed eats back half its RTP to volatility alone. Your spin sample is tiny anyway, so lock the number Josh mentioned and treat it as fixed. π
RTP is a long-run number.

did that once and the slot paid me NZ$600 on the walk, no second spin π€π°

@AllInEveryTime_Mode NZ$600 on the walk, that's the way to do it mate π€« word is a couple of the machines out that way have been running warm lately too, got it off a contact at the club. Take it or leave it, those who know, know π
Those who know, know.
Cashout rule saved my arse last week too. Bet 2 a spin and it hit, walked to the cage while I still liked the machine π
Chris, set the number before you sit down, that's the whole trick.
Bonus taken, wagering cleared.
Everyone I know who walked out of there on a high kept the walk money in a different pocket π
that bit's real. Word I got too is a couple of the floor machines out there have been twitchy warm lately, my contact mentioned it after training, then had to run. You know the rest π€«
